Local charitable organization raises awareness through media coverage and special events
THE CHALLENGE
Cory Wilson, a Savannah native, died at age 21 in 2013 due to a fatal cardiac arrhythmia while in class at Georgia Southern University. Family and friends determined to honor his memory and help raise funds to provide AEDs (automated external defibrillators) for facilities in need as well as raise cardiac awareness. The group needed additional help getting the word out and garnering increased publicity in order to help raise awareness and garner more financial support to help purchase additional AEDs.
THE ROBMARK STRATEGY
We needed to help tell Cory’s story and help raise awareness by promoting special events, building relationships with community leaders and media, finding ways to tie in the mission of Cory’s memorial foundation and how it can help Savannah and other communities, and more.
THE RESULTS
Awareness and support of the Cory Joseph Wilson Memorial foundation continue to grow beyond Savannah and Georgia.
