Just before the holidays, we are thrilled to announce another website is complete: SavannahBlarneyStone.org! The Savannah Blarney Stone is one of Savannah’s latest tourist attractions as well as a non-profit organization that benefits local charities. In 2014, Dr. Sidney Smith and his wife Colleen purchased a slab of the original Blarney Stone from the Blarney Castle located in County Cork, Ireland, and in 2018, the stone made its way to Savannah. Now, Savannah’s locals and visitors can visit the Savannah Blarney Stone in hopes of receiving its legendary gift of eloquence, while immersing themselves in Savannah’s Irish culture and helping out local charities that the stone benefits.
As a newer organization in Savannah, the Savannah Blarney Stone was looking to transform their current website into a more user-friendly, resourceful website. Previously, the website lacked organization, and it was not optimized to work on mobile and tablet devices. After sitting down with the Savannah Blarney Stone team members, we made a plan to create a website that is as inviting and informative as it is functional.
Throughout the website, we stuck to the Savannah Blarney Stone’s color theme, Irish green and orange. With a fantastic portfolio of photos already taken of the Savannah Blarney Stone, its team members, and visitors, we were able to include large hero photos on each page that grab a user’s attention and draws them into the site. Our team moved around and rewrote the Savannah Blarney Stone’s previous website’s information, so the new website would be organized, and users could find the information they wanted right away. We included the stone’s history, information about the local charities it benefits, a news section about exciting events and happenings, links to its social pages, and a secure donate page where users can help support the Savannah Blarney Stone’s chosen charities.
With the help of our web team, the Savannah Blarney Stone now has an attractive, new website that is as inviting as the organization itself. Whether you are a resident of Savannah, or a visitor from out of town looking for things to do in the city, you can now explore the website on desktop, laptop, and tablet devices. To check out the new website and learn more about the Savannah Blarney Stone, we encourage you to visit savannahblarneystone.org.
