In the midst of their 2010-2011 season, the Savannah Philharmonic is excited to have a new member aboard its team. David Pratt was recently named Executive Director and will certainly be an asset to the organization. Hailing originally from Australia, David has an extensive background including management and leadership roles with the performing arts, film and entertainment sectors. His past work experience includes managing film offices in Australia and the United States. Pratt was also instrumental in managing diverse music festivals and organizations including the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, G’Day USA Festival and serving as the Commercial Enterprises Manager for the Sydney Symphony, Australia’s largest and most successful orchestra. Pratt has extensive international experience coordinating events and leading marketing missions in Northeast Asia, the United Sates and the United Kingdom resulting in major revenue for his organizations.
His role with the Savannah Philharmonic includes driving the strategic direction of the organization in conjunction with the Board of Directors and managing the business. His priorities are focused on fundraising specifically broadening and managing the donor base, building the profile and awareness of the Savannah Philharmonic particularly with key stakeholders and audiences and establishing music education outreach.
Congrats to David and the Savannah Philharmonic!
