Hello blogosphere! As the newest member of the Robmark team, I wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little bit of what I’ll be doing here at Robmark. My name is Ginny Sanderlin and as Robmark’s “Social Media Specialist,” I’m very excited to introduce social media as a new aspect to our marketing strategy. I know, I know, you’re probably so sick of hearing about Facebook and blogs and Twitter and all the others that you want to stop reading right now. Before you do, though, let me present you with a few facts:
There are more than 300 million active Facebook users.
The fastest growing demographic is those 35 years and older.
Blogging grew 68% in 2008.
77% of active web users read blogs.
346 million people worldwide read blogs.
Kinda crazy, huh? As marketers, we’d be even crazier not to use these great and FREE tools to our advantage for us and for our clients. Which brings me back to Robmark. If you’re reading this, you’ve obviously noticed that Robmark now has its own blog entitled, “On the Mark.” It’s our goal to fill this blog with the latest on PR/advertising/social media trends, news about Robmark the company, and most importantly, fun and random stuff we find on a daily basis. So bookmark our page, leave us comments, and let us know what YOU want to see on here. Blogging is a two-way conversation.
